For nearly ten years, Dr. James Parrent has been our organization’s Executive Director. Dr. Parrent continues to advance Falmouth Heritage Renewal’s mission and vision in collaboration with Falmouth Restoration Company, the Parish of Trelawny, the Jamaican Government as well as several international organizations.

Our organization recently won the 2005 Global Vision Award for Cultural Preservation given by Travel+Leisure Magazine which commented, “its’ singular commitment to the city of Falmouth is what makes it so powerful…It is a bottom up, community based project.”

Preserving the  Historic District of Falmouth provides improved housing for local residents, creates a climate for Heritage Tourism and economic vitality, and provides us with a “living lab” for the training of local artisans in restoration technology.
